How Can Chiropractic Care Help?

Chiropractic care may be appropriate for a range of musculoskeletal conditions and movement-related concerns. Depending on your individual presentation, chiropractic assessment and management may be considered for:

  • Back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Joint pain and stiffness
  • Some types of headache associated with the neck
  • Sports and exercise-related injuries
  • Work-related musculoskeletal pain
  • Muscle and joint discomfort
  • Movement restrictions
  • Some presentations of limb pain

Your chiropractor will assess your individual circumstances and discuss whether chiropractic care is appropriate for you.

A Personalised Approach to Chiropractic Care

We don’t believe there is one treatment that is right for everyone.

Your care begins with an assessment of your symptoms, medical history, physical presentation and goals. From there, we discuss the available management options and determine what is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

Where clinically appropriate, chiropractic care may incorporate a combination of:

Manual therapy
Spinal manipulation
Soft tissue techniques
Dry needling
Cupping
Mobility exercises
Strength and rehabilitation exercises
Movement and activity advice

Treatment techniques are selected based on your presentation and clinical needs rather than automatically applying the same approach to every patient.

Our goal is to help you understand your condition, make informed decisions about your care and work towards your functional goals.

Treatment Methods

Radiant Life Wellness offers a range of treatment approaches that may be incorporated into an individualised management plan. Treatment is selected according to your clinical presentation, goals and needs, with the aim of supporting movement and function.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic care involves the assessment and management of musculoskeletal conditions and movement-related concerns. Where appropriate, treatment may include manual therapy techniques, including spinal manipulation, alongside exercise, rehabilitation and other management strategies.

Exercise and Rehabilitation

Individualised exercises may be recommended to support movement, strength, mobility and function. Exercises are selected according to your presentation, activity requirements and goals, and may form part of a broader rehabilitation plan.

Dry Needling

Dry needling involves the insertion of fine, sterile needles into selected areas of the body. Where clinically appropriate, it may be used as part of a broader treatment plan for certain musculoskeletal presentations.

kinesiology / sports taping

Elastic and rigid taping techniques may be used as an adjunct to treatment or rehabilitation. Taping can provide external support and may assist with movement or load management during selected activities.

Soft Tissue Therapy

Soft tissue therapy uses manual techniques directed towards muscles and other soft tissues. It may be incorporated into treatment where appropriate to address musculoskeletal symptoms, movement restrictions or areas of muscular tension.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping involves placing specialised cups on the skin to create suction. Where appropriate, it may be incorporated as an adjunct to other treatment approaches for selected musculoskeletal presentations

Treatment approaches are selected according to individual clinical assessment and may not be appropriate for every person or condition. Your practitioner will discuss appropriate treatment options with you.

What happens at your first appointment?

Your initial chiropractic consultation is designed to give you time to discuss your concerns and undergo an appropriate assessment.

1. Discuss

We’ll talk about your current symptoms, previous injuries, medical history, lifestyle and what you’d like to achieve from care.

2. Assess

Your chiropractor will perform an appropriate physical assessment based on your presentation. This may include assessing movement, joint function, strength and other relevant clinical findings.

3. Explain

We’ll discuss the findings of your assessment and explain the management options that may be appropriate for you.

4. Treatment

Where clinically appropriate and with your informed consent, treatment may be provided during your appointment.

5. Plan

Where appropriate, we’ll discuss exercise, rehabilitation, activity modification, further investigation or referral to another healthcare professional. Additionally, where clinically indicated, your chiropractor may recommend further investigation or referral for appropriate imaging.

You are never required to commit to an ongoing course of treatment.
